Herdade de São Miguel was the first line of wines created by Casa Agrícola Alexandre Relvas. These wines are produced exclusively from Herdade grapes and reflect all the dedication with which we have been working over the last few years.
A little more concentrated than the two previous editions, Pé de Mãe 2020 is, of the three editions launched so far, the one that will have the greatest storage potential.
It is a special wine, which demonstrates a more concentrated and complex side of the Trincadeira grape variety.

Soil: Clay - Shale.
Grapes: Aragonez, Castelão, Trincadeira.
Winemaking: Manual harvesting with selection on the plot. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature between 21ºC and 25ºC. Fermentation in stainless steel with whole berries and 20% of the stalks. Maceration for 30 days. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
Aging: 18 months in 5000L French oak barrels.
Test results
Color: Open ruby.
Aroma: Red fruits and orange flowers with balsamic notes.
Mouth: Good acidity, soft tannins, fruity and persistent aftertaste.
Gastronomy: Soft cheeses, stews, sausages and red meats.
Alcohol Content: 13.5%
