Winemaking
From the best plots of associated winegrowers certified for the production of D.O.C. wine. Alentejo – Borba sub-region -, the grapes followed strict control of the maturation evolution directly in the vineyards for the final selection. Immediately after arriving at the winery, the grapes are de-stemmed and crushed, followed by the alcoholic fermentation process accompanied by maceration – 6 to 10 days – under controlled temperatures of 25 to 28ºC. After completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks, and to refine its final characteristics for approximately 3 months with oak wood before bottling.
Test results
Garnet color with violet nuances.
Good intensity aroma of ripe red fruits and slight spice.
Soft flavor with balanced astringency/acidity, with soft, fruity and spicy tannins, remaining full-bodied.
How to serve
Temperature of 18-20ºC.
Served with roasted fatty fish, grilled red meat and soft cheese.
This wine can be consumed immediately, if you prefer you can also let it age for up to 3-4 years.
