Monte Carochinha White Sea Wine 75cl
“Vinho de Mar” is the result of an innovative experience in Portugal, an initiative of APVCA – Association of Wine Producers of the Costa Alentejana, with the “sinking” monitored and registered by the CVRPS-Regional Wine Commission of the Setúbal Peninsula, with the registration of the Vinho do Mar brand exclusive to APVCA. Under the favorable conditions of the seabed on the southwest Alentejo coast, this wine aged for 14 months at a depth of around 15 to 17 m deep. With faster maturation, the wine becomes more complex, harmonious and mature, with the softness of the fruits standing out in the white.
This wine is produced at Monte da Carochinha, a property located next to Sonega between the municipalities of Cercal and Sines. With a high view over the sea of Porto Covo, it benefits from a strong Atlantic influence combined with a mountain microclimate, where steep slopes in poor shale soils, surrounded by forest and rockrose, clearly mark its profile. It has a citrine color with some depth, an expressive fresh nose with notes of lime and kiwi, in the mouth it is a smooth, structured wine, with a refreshing lively acidity.
