Conde De Amarante C/39º 700ml
We select high quality wines from the Vinhos Verdes Demarcated Region to, after distillation, give rise to this unique Aguardente Velha. It was aged in our cellars in new and used 500-liter oak barrels of various toasts over decades, with the best batches masterfully combined into a unique 18-year-old blend.
Created as a form of homage to Marshal Francisco Silveira, who received the title of Count of Amarante from the hands of Queen D. Maria I of Portugal, as a form of recognition of his performance in command of military operations against the Napoleonic troops commanded by Loison during the Invasions French. Among these, the defense of the Tâmega line and also the defense of the Amarante Bridge stand out.
