This Vinho Verde is produced with grapes from the Loureiro variety. The Amarante Sub-Region is made up of a set of valleys dominated by the Douro and Tâmega rivers. The distance from the Atlantic Ocean and the fact that it is located against the Marão mountain range means that this Sub-Region has unique temperature and humidity conditions within the Vinho Verde Region. The soils are poor and almost exclusively of sandy granite origin, which facilitates the drainage of rainwater. All these conditions ensure that the grapes have adequate and balanced maturation, resulting in elegant, complex and mineral wines.
